European Junior Champs in Poland
The Polish Life Saving Federation will host the 2004 European Junior Life Saving Championships in Sopot and Gdynia from 6-8 August.

Rip Current Education in the USA
On 24 May 2004, the USLA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (US) announced the commencement of a national rip current awareness programme.
