Sharjah International Marine Sports Club
Regarding the issuance of the Amiri Decree by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, regarding the establishment of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club. The decree, numbered 60 for the year 2014, stipulates the establishment of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The club is entrusted with the responsibility of organizing and managing various sporting activities for competitive or recreational purposes, whether on the surface, above, or in the depths of the sea. These activities include water and marine sports such as airship riding associated with boats, water sliding, snorkeling, deep-sea diving, Rowing, Jetski, and boats.
Among the prominent objectives and responsibilities of the club are establishing sports relationships with various local and international sports clubs and organizations, promoting the culture of marine sports, encouraging its practice among different segments of the Emirate’s population, and developing legal and administrative systems related to marine sports in the Emirate. The club is also authorized to oversee and attend marine sports activities, conferences, workshops, and seminars aimed at elevating and developing marine sports. It has the authority to establish agreements and memoranda of understanding with relevant entities, as well as to initiate and execute campaigns for the promotion and dissemination of marine sports culture.
In addition to Executive Council Decision No. (7) of 2024 regarding the regulation and licensing of marine sports activities in the Emirate of Sharjah, the club has been authorized to oversee all maritime and marine activities in the Emirate. This includes licensing maritime vessels and issuing permits for various maritime and water activities.
