Rashtriya Life Saving Society (India) shall be conducting Rescue INDIA 2014, National Pool Life Saving Championships from 4th June to 6th June 2014 at Pune, Maharashtra.
After a grand success of Kerala Multi Sports Beach Festival, lifesaving athletes of all ages are now eager to exhibit their skills and contest in the life saving pool events.
This is also a platform from top performing athletes to put in their best and be shortlisted for the selection and training camp for ILS RESCUE 2014, World Lifesaving World Championships to be held in France in the month of September.
Final selection shall be done on the basis of performance in Kerala Multi Sport Beach Festival & the to be held Rescue INDIA 2014, National Pool Life Saving Championships.
Seminar on Saving Lives and Building Communities
To support the lifesaving excitement during this period, Rashtriya Life Saving Society, Mahratta Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture & Indian Maritime Foundation shall present the ‘Seminar on Saving Lives and Building Communities’ on the 4th of June 2014 from 9am onwards at the MCCIA Auditorium.
The conference shall be attended by eminent International and Indian speakers and delegates from the sector, corporate and government.
The seminar will revolve around these major themes of discussion;
- Global Efforts towards Drowning Prevention – to provide the audience with an insight towards the global interventions being undertaken towards reducing this epidemic (drowning) of sorts. Globally drowning is the third largest cause of unintentional death amongst children.
- CSR Role in Saving Lives – to allow large corporate bodies to provide the listeners with an insight of the role that corporate support has been doing to save lives in India and what are the plans going forward.
- Policy and Standards needed for saving lives – to engage the audience and apprise them of the efforts being taken by the Government towards reducing attrition of human life.
